Wall History

Memorial Stone:  The stone was the brainchild of BG (R) John Dailey, as was the establishment of the Night Stalker Association.  In 1988, when Dailey was in command, a Night Stalker wife mentioned that the Regiment did a poor job of remembering the fallen Night Stalkers.  So, Dailey, the CSM & the Chaplain laid the groundwork for the NSA and with the initial money, purchased the stone. The stone was originally placed at the old Headquarters at the bunker on the Old Clarksville Base.  In 1989, there was a formal dedication for the stone, and in 1995, the NSA moved the stone to its current position in front of the Regiment Headquarters.  The NSA is in charge of its upkeep and the etching of names of the fallen.
