Staff Sergeant Kerry W. Frith
27 September 1964 - 22 February 2002

Staff Sergeant Kerry W. Frith is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada. He enlisted in the Army in 1987 as a Medium Helicopter Repairmen (67U). He attended Basic Combat Training (BCT) at Fort Dix, New Jersey and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Eustis, Virginia. Staff Sergeant Frith’s military education includes the Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC) and the Basic Non-Commissioned Officers Course (BNCOC).


In 1991, Staff Sergeant Frith was assigned to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Training Company (SOATC) and upon completion of the Basic Mission Qualification Course (Green Platoon) was assigned as a flight Engineer for Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne). Staff Sergeant Firth had numerous deployments with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) to include Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Saudi Arabia and Operation Gothic Serpent, Somalia. He was assigned to Echo Company, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), Taegu, Republic of Korea in October, 2001. He deployed with his unit to multiple locations across the Pacific Command in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.


Staff Sergeant Frith's awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal (2 OLC), U.S. Navy Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (5th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award (1 OLC) and the Master Aviator Badge.


Staff Sergeant Frith is survived by his wife, Carolyn, their children, Jacob and Ciara of Cumberland City, Tennessee and his parents, Paul and Marth Frith of Erin, Tennessee.
