Sergeant Jeffery D. Tarbox was a native of Washburn, Maine. He entered the Army on July 10, 1991. He attended Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and Advanced Individual Training as a Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
Sergeant Tarbox’s previous assignments included Assistant Motor Sergeant, Shop Foreman, and Squad Leader at Special Troops Command in Seoul, Korea. While assigned to 3rd Battalion,1 60th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), he served as a Bus Driver instructor, Tool Room Custodian, Building Maintenance Coordinator and Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic.
Sergeant Tarbox’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Parachutist Badge, Drivers Wheel Badge, Mechanics Badge and Expert Weapons Badge.
Sergeant Tarbox married the former Jennifer Ewell of Savannah, Georgia on November 4th, 1994.
